JOB TITLE: SQE-SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

Deion:
The role is responsible to ensure the supply base for Analogic Medical Equipment Shanghai (AMES) meets all necessary capability requirements and is responsible to effectively map and understand the future development path of suppliers technically. The role requires a string inter with the Manufacturing Technology and Engineering.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
1.Provide technical leadership for the Sourcing Quality.
2.Work closely with the Engineering to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet AMES product requirements. Be the technical leader in Sourcing to drive growth in business cooperation between AMES and the supplier base.
3.Be the global focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control, quality assurance and quality control of the supply base in the assigned specialty.
4.Create and establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements for the assigned family of hardware and processes.
5.Work closely with the Global and AMES SCM organization to establish the appropriate sourcing strategy with process capability and quality execution as the primary acceptance criteria. Also, lead all new supplier and product development
6.Provide overall responsibility for defect reduction globally and provides the chief responsibility for large, complex root cause analysis and preventative definition.
7.Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance .
8.Work closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing Technology and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may effect quality and delivery requirements.
9.Chiefly responsible for the development of suppliers globally to ensure the core pieces of quality, information flowdown are established and grown to ensure a predictable and reliable supplier base

.Required Qualifications:

1.BS/MS Mechanical Engineer Degree. Hands-on experience in supplier development and practical manufacturing. Engineering experience is desired and preferred.
2.At least 3 years of work experience in quality control or supplier quality management, demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering functions to establish fundamental standards and requirements for AMES products and assemblies.
3.Strong knowledge of manufacturing process, preferred supporting electronics assembly process
4.Demonstrated capability to work successfully within large, complex multi-functional organizations.
5.Demonstrated individual leadership or team leader experience and qualification or demonstration of capability to work far from HQ.
6.Experience in electronic , SMT, or machining company would be plus
7.English fluency required.
8.Ability to travel extensively is required.

SECURITY
A Leading Supplier of Security Imaging Solutions
Leveraging our knowledge of medical CT, Analogic began developing advanced CT-based security imaging systems over a decade ago. We developed the world’s first checked luggage scanner to provide three-dimensional images of all the contents of a bag. The EXACT® (EXplosive Assessment Computed Tomography) scanner is the heart of L-3 Communications’ government-certified eXaminer® 3DX automatic Explosives Detection System (EDS). More than 750 eXaminers are installed in airports around the world scanning checked luggage for aircraft.

Working under multiple government contracts, Analogic continues to create more advanced high-performance checked and checkpoint imaging systems to help secure our nations’ airports. Our KING COBRA and XLB checked luggage systems are designed to meet the needs of small to mid-sized, and large, high-traffic airports, respectively. These systems are in development and expected to go into certification later this year.
